QPLS Forum Guidelines

 

Welcome to the QPLS (Queen's Pre-Law Society) Forum! To ensure a respectful and productive environment for all members, please follow these guidelines when participating in discussions. This forum is subject to our website’s Terms and Conditions, which can be found on our website at: https://www.qpls.ca/terms-and-conditions

 

1. Respectful Communication

  • Treat all members with respect and courtesy.

  • No hate speech, harassment, or personal attacks.

  • Avoid inflammatory or discriminatory language.

 

2. Relevant & Constructive Discussions

  • Stay on topic and contribute meaningfully to discussions.

  • Avoid spam, excessive self-promotion, or off-topic posts.

  • Fact-check information before posting to prevent misinformation.

 

3. No Plagiarism or Unauthorized Sharing

  • Do not post copyrighted materials without permission.

  • Give credit when sharing external resources or ideas.

 

4. Privacy & Safety

  • Do not share personal contact information (yours or others').

  • Keep discussions within the forum unless otherwise specified.

  • Report any safety concerns to club moderators or faculty advisors.

 

5. Forum Etiquette

  • Use appropriate language and tone.

  • Avoid excessive use of capital letters or emojis.

  • Be open to different perspectives and engage in respectful debates.

 

6. Moderator Authority

  • Moderators have the right to remove content or restrict access if guidelines are violated.

  • If you have concerns about a moderator decision, address it respectfully through the proper channels.

 

7. Reporting Violations

  • If you witness a guideline violation, report it to a moderator.

  • Do not engage in arguments or escalate conflicts—let the moderators handle it.

 

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, removal from the forum, removal from the club, or further escalation, depending on the severity of the violation.
